Success for Norton Radstock Continues

After a long journey to Wellington, Norton Radstock continued their fine form in the Winter Series with another victory on Saturday. At one stage Norton Radstock led by just three points but a run of seven consecutive race wins took them to victory by 16 points with Wellington second followed by Minehead, Wincanton and Cheddar. The team did remarkably well as there were several regular swimmers missing, particularly in the Girls team. This meant that several younger swimmers had to swim in the older age groups. Lucy Parsons, Mary Inns, Jasmin Hennessy, Elena Grace, Alice Walker and Molly Barter all helped cover the races.

There were 4 new Club Records set, Mary Inns in the Breaststroke, James Harvey in the Freestyle and Sarah Britton in the Backstroke and Butterfly. There were also 15 individual Personal Bests and some great team performances, particularly from the Boys. They won both the Freestyle and Medley relay races in every age group, which is a remarkable achievement.
